Fort Langley is a historic village on the Fraser River in the north of the Township of Langley. It is known as the birthplace of British Columbia and is one of the most sought-after addresses in the Fraser Valley.
The village is small and walkable. Glover Road is lined with independent shops, cafes and restaurants in heritage-style buildings, and the Fort-to-Fort Trail follows the river to Derby Reach Regional Park.
Housing is a mix of heritage homes, older houses on large lots and newer craftsman-style homes. Bedford Landing, on the river, adds detached houses, row homes and condos. Supply is limited, so well-priced homes tend to sell quickly.
Highway 1 is about 10 minutes away by Glover Road or 232 Street. A rail line runs through the village, so expect occasional waits at the crossing.
